  • Research / work as Team Physician for the “One Million Steps Biomedical Research Expedition” has directly led to the development of the Protective Combat Uniform, (PCU). This state-of-the-art clothing system is in use worldwide and is standard issue for all U.S. Special Operations Forces (SOF) units. This is an $8 million dollar project funded by the United States Special Operations Command (US SOCOM) for fiscal year 2004 supervised by the SOF Special Projects branch of Natick Laboratory.
